No Price Tag Carthage is right around the corner and we are working hard to host another great conference.
I know many of you are checking out who we are and what we do, and I really appreciate that. Here is a little history: When I was assisting my husband with youth from 2002-2007, we held an annual purity conference. Several years into this, one of the young ladies who had graduated from our youth ministry and moved on, wrote me a thank you note to express her appreciation for our stand on purity. She said she remembers exactly what I was wearing when I told the girls that they didn't have to do all the things the world says in order to be cool. When I finished her email I realized someone had been listening and decided to write a book called God's Girl to encourage the girls in various areas they may face in life. Once I finished the book, I decided having a conference to talk about the various issues was probably the best way to share this information with teen girls. I contacted a friend that knew how to hold conferences and we held our first conference in 2009 in Brookings, South Dakota with around 100 girls. We offered it for free, had a ton of fun, and the girls were grateful for the tough material that we covered with grace and poise. So we were off. We have held the conference in Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Colorado, Kenya, Jamaica, and now Missouri. The main conference became Ogden, Utah because we were the lead pastors. At the Ogden conference we had over 400 girls from 30 churches the last year. The conference has held true to its focus on purity. We are an interdenominational ministry focused on purity and Jesus. That is what will be keep as our central theme. We have now added the guy's conference on Thursday night to minister to the young men who also need to hear this message. Please feel free to browse the website, browse our Facebook page and then contact us with any questions. We want you and your group to feel comfortable and excited about coming and joining us on August 15-17, 2019. Blessings, Rachel Johnson

I want to share with you my heart about the No Price Tag Conference. I know some of you have heard of NPT but have not been able to have your teens attend or you may have heard of it but don’t know what it was. I understand, that is why this year I want to share with you some insights into the conference.
The conferences started after I taught purity to our youth group in California and several years later a youth girl emailed me and said she chose to remain pure because of our purity conference. I was thrilled that she had listened! I realized I could help more teenagers on their walk of purity by holding fun, yet powerful conferences. I want more and more young people to know they can make it through this world and still remain pure! I am here to run along side them and encourage them as someone who has already walked in their shoes. So many times we stand helpless against abortion, teen pregnancy, pornography and human trafficking. What can we really do about it? It seems overwhelming. But I realize through NPT I can prevent one more teen pregnancy, one more abortion, one more teen being trafficked, or one more prostitute. I can’t stop every abortion or every pregnancy, but I can stop some. I can make a difference in the lives of the teens that God sends to us each year. That is what NPT does-we make a difference and impact those God has given to us. At the conference, I talk about purity from someone who waited until marriage. We have other speakers including Jessica Neely, pastor's daughter turned prostitute, and Damaris Guerra, pastor's daughter who became an un-wed mother. We try to have speakers the young people can look up to, but who aren't perfect-just forgiven. We balance the heaviness of talking about purity with a Friday night spa night and a Saturday afternoon fashion show. Thank you for allowing me to share about the NPT Conference. Please contact us with any questions that you have. Cellphones have become a nuisance and a frustration to many parents, as it should be. You are paying more money than you want for a device that you have no control over and you don't even realize this device can be the portal to images and predators that can destroy your teen's life. You should be concerned. You should be a worry wart. This is your business.
Once you buy your teen a phone, they sit in silence moving their fingers at breakneck speed talking to everyone but you. You don't know who they are talking to or what they are even doing on that phone. You want to know, but you don't want to start a fight. You don't want to intrude on their privacy. Stop right there. Who is paying for this phone? Who owns this phone? Hmmm...not the 12 year old. You are! You are the parent-not them! You pay for the phone therefore you have rights to the phone. Until they are 18 and pay for the phone themselves it is your business what is happening on that device. "They won't let me see it," is the typical response from parents. Then mom, dad, pick up your phone and call the phone company and disconnect the phone. Put the phone in timeout. Lock it up. Turn off the internet in your home. You are in control here. You have the right to lead your child because they don't know what dangers lurk behind the apps on that phone. Since most of you are not going to turn off their phones, I have good news that leads us to some wonderful tools that are located on every phone that most parents do not know about. Both Android phones and iPhones have settings that allow you to block all internet. Or you can limit sites on the internet. They also have settings to block the content of music, videos, apps, etc that are downloaded onto a phone. Below are the links to walk you through these simple steps that will save you a lot of worry about what is allowed on your teen's phone.
